There’s something about a Las Vegas wedding that gives you permission to throw the rulebook out the window and fully lean into your personalities. This downtown Las Vegas elopement did exactly that in the best possible way.
From the moment these two walked into Sure Thing Chapel in their tea-length dresses and platform heels, the entire day felt playful, electric, and completely them. As a travel elopement photographer, I was immediately inspired by this beautiful couple and funky staple Vegas venue!
Because add in the iconic pink velvet curtains from the chapel, heart-shaped lights, matching tattoos, and an Elvis impersonator named Hellvis officiating the ceremony… and honestly, it could not have been more incredible.
The vibe was less “perfectly polished wedding timeline” and more “let’s have the best night of our lives with our favorite person.” AKA my kind of vibe!!
Sure Thing Chapel was the perfect setting for this day.
Every corner had personality. From the photo booth to the blue bathroom! The vibes were straight out of an old-school Vegas love story.
And then there was Hellvis. I mean… CAN WE TALK ABOUT HELLVIS?
Dressed head to toe in red sequins and dramatic makeup, he somehow made the ceremony both hilarious and genuinely emotional at the same time. One minute everyone was laughing, the next minute the brides were exchanging rings and tearing up under the glowing heart lights. I totally see why you can always have him there for your Sure Thing Chapel elopement. He really infused the ceremony with all things iconic Vegas.

Honestly, it was the kind of ceremony that highlights that weddings do not have to be traditional to be meaningful. Everything about this day was intentional and focused on the newlyweds.
A few things that made the day unforgettable:
- Deep red bouquets that tied perfectly into the Vegas colors
- Vintage chapel vibes mixed with retro motel stops
- A classic red convertible cruising through Fremont Street
- Ending the night with In-N-Out burgers and milkshakes (ALWAYS a yes from me)
That combination gave the whole day this carefree energy that matched their mood as a couple. They were laughing constantly, flipping off the camera one second and kissing in the middle of the street the next.
It felt like hanging out with two best friends who just happened to get married that day.
After the ceremony, we explored the Fremont area as the sun started to drop. The light bouncing off the red convertible was unreal. Between the old motel signs, neon reflections, and soft desert glow, every stop felt cinematic without even trying. As a travel elopement photographer, I’m always up for an adventure. And this was no expectation.
Every part of the day felt authentic and REAL.
I mean… from Hellvis officiating to the red convertible on Fremont… every part of the day was a vibe. Its as THEIR vibe, which makes it the best.
They laughed constantly, held hands through every stop, and ended the night exactly how they wanted to. Burgers, milkshakes, neon lights, and zero pressure to make the day look like anyone else’s version of a wedding.
Needless to say, sign me up for another Vegas elopement, especially if it’s at Sure Thing Chapel, asap!!
